First of all I am using a BL2 equivalent slackware. Actually it is the
rescue disk from the slackware 9 plus ppp plus any package I like.

The setting in libvga.conf is almost the same whether it is BL1
(slackware using libc5) or BL2 (slackware using libc6). The thing that
might be critical is the vertical and horizontal frequency and the
modes. I use the libvga.conf supplied with the svgalib package and only
modified the chipset. With such modification I can run zgv and seejpeg
and gallery, another graphics viewer, but not links2.
