Karl,
your last post had nothing to contribute to the issue.

to wit,
it is irrelevant if you use a different methodology,
or if you think that I think in modern Hebrew, or
if you know very little about modern Hebrew.

please demonstrate that your statements about
*natsal and hatsil
are internally consistent and produce readings
that fit the whole biblical text.
Show how they produce reasonable,
good readings in the various contexts.

I found your statements inconsistent, and your definition
of *natsal inappropriate as a base for hatsil,
it would create an EXTRA layer of causation
"to cause someone/someting to take away . . ."

As I said:

"If and when you want to pick it up,
please do not rehearse personal backgrounds but --

simply give a definition that explains how *natsal means
approximately "to take away [for safety]"
and hitsil is a causative built on that.

Until then, it should just be dropped."

Your last message did nothing about the hatsil issue.
