Hi,

very well sidestepped. It really is remarkable. You have it down to a fine art. If only you could defend your theory as well as you can sidestep the issues raised then you would have had me convinced long ago.

I take the below as a retraction of your statement the last story is just about Joseph and couldn't be interpretted as a history of Jacob's lineage.

I think the summary below makes it quite clear what theory I am talking
about. For your benefit I cut and paste below:

You hypothesised something on the lines of the TLDTHs being formulas of
title and author. You later revised it said that author is not always
necessary.

Later you made the claim that final account in Genesis was a story about
Joseph with no further significance and so had nothing to do with the
lineage of Jacob such that the understanding 'History of Jacob' couldn't
be
a title for the last section of Genesis.

So, please, I know you are very good at sidestepping. I don't need any
further demonstrations. Just, please, either answer the question or let's
think about something else more productive we can debate about.

By your cutting and pasting, and it is of your theory which you made up, not
mine; I’m not going to debate your theory. You have given me one straw man
too many (the straw that broke the camel’s back).

Karl W. Randolph.

You still didn’t answer my question: “Which hypothesis? The one you just
made up here, or the one originally posited in this forum?”

I will go to your next point when you answer this one.

Karl W. Randolph.
