"Anyone's guess" might be overstating it a bit, Yigal. Some guesses are better than others and the range of possibilities can probably be narrowed down to 3-4 good ones. Anyone interested can search the archives for previous discussions here on B-Hebrew.

And in the Western Semitic (including Hebrew and Moabite) orthography
(that's "spelling") of the time, vowels were not written at all. So it was

Was it written in the form of YHWH , or actually written as "Yahweh" , and
by the 9th century , are you bc'ing , or 9th century from Adam.
