Dear Yonah
You are correct. It's generally assumed that the author did not live to see
the death of Antiochus IV.

Liz,
I have read that many of the details about the king returning and
meeting his end are not correct in relation to the demise of Antiochus
IV. Is there anything new that helps to bring the end of Daniel 11
into agreement with the historical accounts of Antiochus IV Epiphanes'
last campaign and death?

Thanks,
Yonah
