What is bayyom hashshlishi in Gen 22:4?

HH: It doesn't have to be a verbless clause. It could be simply a phrase and is so translated by the NIV:

Gen. 22:4 On the third day Abraham looked up and saw the place in the distance.

HH: They dropped the waw, which could simply be translated as "also."
