Shoshanna

I don't if that was adressed to me but I believe the torah is divine
and that moses wrote it as tradition holds. It is also clear to me that
the author of the torah (whether moses or not) was definitely a strong
proponent that their is only one true god, yahowah, as opposed to the
many lifeless gods of the kingdom of egypt. Yahowah demonstrated their
lifelessness by attacking its gods with each plague that struck egypt.
Anybody who cannot see this, whether they accept the account as authentic
or not, can only be motivated by a desire to attack the authenticity of
the torah.

But if the Torah is not Divine, then anything and everything is
possible, correct?

Shoshanna

I think that would be just far too coincidental to believe.

Is it possible that the name of these traders' own God was pronounced by
them Ye-ho-wah or Je-ho-vah, and that they might themselves have passed
on to the Cherokee nation this name and the stories of Adam and Eve etc?

I don't mean a coincidence, I mean that the Cherokees took the name and
the stories from the traders, or from missionaries who accompanied them.
Well, Jack has explained this idea in more detail.
