Years ago I heard that Akhenaton’s grandmother, mother and at least one of
his wives was a treaty bride from a Semitic area. Not all Semites were
polytheists. Is there any truth to this claim? If so, could Akhenaton have
gotten his monotheism from Semitic sources?
