Trua that the beaches have been eroding for the past 50years or so, but
before the construction of the Aswan dam, they kept getting filled with
fresh sand. That's what happened to the harbors of Jaffa, Dor and Caesarea.

Dear Karl,

To begin with, I stated beforehand that sand accretions is not an area of my
expertise. Nor, I believe, it is of yours. I know of beaches in Israel and
Egypt eroding, never of them increasing. That's all my statement.

Sincerely,

Vadim Cherny

> Don't show your ignorance. The sea is constantly taking sand and silt from
one place and adding it to others. That is why people around here hire
dredges to take sand and silt from places where the sea constantly adds to
the land, and puts it in places where the sea takes it away. Yes, I live on
a coastline, too.

his army, by blocking the normal flow of water, would contribute to filling
in the land between the island and mainland.
