Dear Harold,

Wow, that's quite an assumption... Why not simply read the text as it is,
referring to the contemporary person? Already many were astonished at him,
but still greater feats are ahead. There are many chapters in Tanakh,
referring to the present (recall the supposed prophecy of Emmanu El, which
is simply an address to the current king of ca.3000 years ago). Why labor
at explanations, when the text is clear?

HH: >suffering of the Servant and His subsequent glory. To clarify that
there is a progression in time, 52:14 puts the suffering in the past.
It's past relative to another future action.<
