The stylistic differences between the author who uses Elohim and the
author who uses Yahweh is often due to the context.This is seen even in
D and P, not just J and E.
The context around Elohim appears to be one that emphasizes God and
his creative, awesome, mighty power. The context around Yahweh often
emphasizes the personal relationship between Yahweh and the other
person/people involved in the narrative. Genesis 1 and 2 is a prime
example of these emphases.
Does this indicate separate authors, or different contexts/emphases?
