yes and no. As to the verbal semantics, it doesn't make any difference.
BH (at any given point, in any given register, in any given region) is BH.
--oh, boy, all those parenthetical qualifications don't make a pretty
picture, do they?-- As to the distribution of the form, it makes some
difference. BH poetry falls under the category of direct speech and very
often expository discourse of an argumentative sort. Because of the genre
effect, the distribution of wayyiqtol (and the other forms) will be
somewhat less constrained than in historical narrative.
