with this line of reasoning, the mention of his heart getting hard,
hardening, being hardened after each of the plagues doesn't make sense,
either. i figure his heart got harder and harder with each plague although
the agent hardening his heart is variable.

my point is that though it seems to support a calvinist interp in this one
verse, the reactions to the ten plagues, taken together, do not. make
sense?
BUT, this is probably getting outside the parameters of

actually, no, it's entirely within the parameters of b-hebrew, though don't
misunderstand me, i am not, nor would i like to, participate in a debate
about pre-destination. ;-)
