The MAQS folks recommend doing post treatment sampling 16 days after the treatment period.  The treatment period is 7 days, so 23 days after you placed the strips on the hive.  Now would be a good time to remove the strips and double check that you still have a laying queen, but wait a while before sampling.

Hi Chris,

Here is a video i shot back in 2013 from our own garden, where we were
growing some organic corn. this short video shows what is possible in any
and ALL corn fields - gmo or organic.

*Please cut off volume* if you don't want to hear my commentary & thoughts
on the issue, but in this case a pic is worth a thousand words.

Just a reminder to everyone, if you think you may be wanting to rent the club extractor this year your membership dues must be paid prior to April 1st.

The new extractor policy is posted on the OCBA website.
http://theocba.org/resources/honey-extractor-policy/
I would urge everyone to review it. There are many changes from previous years.

We are currently working to repair damages from last year and locate missing equipment. Once we do the club secretary (currently Fred Fesel) will be responsible for check-out/check-in of the equipment. Hopefully this will ensure the equipment is available to everyone needing it.

These are just a few highlights of the new policy so please read the full document on the website.

Hey, folks ?
Just took a look at our hive, which we are about to do a split with, and found a lot of small winged things around it ? see picture, hopefully! Maybe 3/16" long, white folded-back wings, Don't know where they came from, but with all this warm weather, lots of bugs have been hatching out in our garden/yard. A few of them seem to be wandering into the hive, and there seem to be a lot of the white wings scattered on the ground underneath the screened bottom of the hive?
Any clues would be gratefully received!
Mark & Katja
