It's not at all clear to me what type of legal organization, if any, the market in question has. Some markets are privately owned, and if so I don't think they'd come under open meetings laws. And don't open meetings laws vary by state? New York law, I believe, covers only governmental agencies.

The bylaws, if there are any, may well state that meetings must be open to the membership. But I can't tell whether the market in question even has legally established bylaws. I've run into markets that don't.
