industrial feedlots contaminating spinach

If you are referring to the incident a year ago, the currently accepted vector was possible from Feral hogs. These hogs were introduced by the Spanish colonials and have since become feral. It is thought that they were how the e. Coli was spread to the Spinach. Farmers in the area have license to shot hogs at any time in the hopes they can eliminate the hogs. So called sportsmen are fighting it because they want to hunt.

I am current helping out on a organic vegetable farm in the Hollister, Ca area.
