My wife is going to need one of these soon due to repeated injuries through life.  I've noted the doctors so far but are there recommended knees?  How long can you expect them to last with normal activity including walking or biking?

I have another year to go according to the doc last week. Atrophy in
muscle will take a long time to heal. No worries, though. It is
wonderful to wake up every day, be able to walk and to slowly get
through the God awful withdrawal from 8 months of narcotics that is pure
Hell.

So are you back to your old self now? Sounds like all the repair work
has been done.
