Yes, that is what I had in mind.
Are you sharing the code ?

If FreeTDS API does not help with these issues, then what does it do? Perhaps
I am looking the api fom a wrong view.

As a feedback on XML...in fact you could argue that why not have databases
talk SOAP and be done with it.
