J. W. van Henten has written extensively on the Maccabean martyr theme. See
esp. The Maccabean Martyrs as Saviours of the Jewish People: A Study of 2
and 4 Maccabees, SJSJ, Leiden: Brill, 1997. This will provide excellent
bibliography for your research.

If it has not been mentioned, S. Cummins, Paul and the Crucified Christ in
Antioch: Maccabean Martyrdom and Galatians 1 and 2, SNTSMS 114, Cambridge
Univ. Press, 2001, is pertinent to your question, at least the first section
dealing with Maccabean Martyrdom (FWIW: I am not persuaded by his
application to Galatians). It will of course provide you further (earlier)
bibliography on this topic.
