Zoho Viewer (Office, OpenOffice, RTF, PDF, HTML, CSV)
Upload files from your computer or specify the online URL.

Nice output but a very slow site and it creates files larger than the
original PDF. At 1280 only (so far). javascript, registration

PPT or PPTX convert only to other office presentation formats or SWF.
Use ppt2html from my site.

Luckily you don't run into these often at websites but professors like to post them for students.

http://access.adobe.com/access - no javascript needed (links2 works)
Does online (URL) or emailed (file) conversion
of PDF to text or html without the images. Very fast and mostly accurate.
1 MB PDF > 6K text or 67K HTML

James suggested http://pdfescape.com. Registration optional, javascript required, quick online conversion of file or URL (no email needed). Displayed perfectly (first page full, thumbnails of the others to click on) a government form which zoho showed as a blank page with lines on the sides, and which gs had trouble printing (I had to do some paper cutting and pasting to get the top aligned right).

This site is a winner if you have a javascript browser. Claims to work with Firefox 2, Opera 9.5, and other browsers. Also edits PDFs, lets you enter passwords....

If people send you these formats you can use webmail (or your own website at SDF) and view without downloading.

http://convert-doc.com - no javascript (links) or email needed, fast, but
only for files not URLs. Worked well and quickly on sample docx (to html
or pdf) and xlsx (to html) but completely screwed up pptx (to pdf).
Displays the html or downloads the pdf. Converts between many formats.

Might be useful for odd formats.

You can try also:

http://www.zamzar.com - converts and emails you the result, file or URL,
javascript. The email showed up in a couple of minutes but when I clicked
on the link to the file (at Zamzar for a day for download) it told me
'Incorrect link'. Other people have had this same problem.

http://docx-converter.com - sends an email link to the result,
only does files on your computer not URLs, javascript
My email has not showed up in at least 10 minutes.

An hour later both emails arrived with links at their site to the original file (a pdf, not whatever it was converted to) and the files do not even exist. Another loser. Might work with IE?
