Hmm ... i changed the "boot" line in lilo.conf
to boot=/dev/fd0, thinking that that was the
line that tells LILO where to write itself.
But instead, the message said that it was
*reading* the boot info from the floppy.

Now i'm confused.


And i should add that nothing new was written
to the floppy.

So it did not work. Try also a /fd/boot/ directory with kernel and boot.b in it. I have not had time to experiment with this. (It is gardening season and I get things done inside after dark only).

I have made separate boot floppies for linux and DOS (you can eihehr put them first, or make them default).
