RE duke game: Don't wanna talk about it.
RE 2000's dance tomorrow night: WANNA TALK ABOUT IT.
WXYC is hosting its semi-annual 2000s dance at Chapel Hill Underground this Saturday night at 9:30 pm! There will be Nelly.

Tonight on the Inside Track at 9pm, listen up for Pantha du Prince & the Bell Laboratory's album 'Elements of Light' on Rough Trade.
Berlin's Hendrik Weber here presents his composition for electronics, percussion and corillon (i.e. the collection of several pitched bells often connected to a keyboard for playing) and the effect is an ambient techno piece aiming for a Moondog-meets-gamelan otherworldliness.
Then keep it locked at 10pm for NSE, where we will deliver two hours of the finest live-mixed dance and electronic music.
Sunday at 1pm on Hell or High Water, Kiever H. will be introducing us to the Five Royales. Hailing from Winston-Salem, NC, these dudes really knew how to have a good time. Playing during the era of 1950's R&B, they truly understood how to perfect both the "rhythm" and "blues." However, they didn't stop here. They weren't afraid to synthesize expected R&B sounds with tidbits of gospel, doo wop, and even some "beachy" rock and roll. Recording most of their hits in 1952 and 1953, the "5" Royales were vital in assisting to establish the "future" sounds of R&B to come in the mid-late 50s.
Then tune in at 2pm as Broken Music explores the recorded works of French sound artist composer Éric La Casa. La Casa's unique ear for field recording explores a wealth of sonic phenomena in both urban and natural settings. Often his work is built on embellishing and magnifying the aural shape of a landscape rather than manipulating those sources.
This Sunday from 5 to 6, Fusion Youth Radio will be focusing on Domestic Violence. There will be two short audio pieces related to the topic in addition to a live discussion focusing on the root causes of Domestic/Interpersonal Violence. The youth participants will also be talking with Rachel Valentine from the Orange County Rape Crisis Center and the show will be featuring poet Jake Jacoby as well.
Wear your team colors, make your town proud! At 9pm on SportsRap, the panel continues to wrap up the first half of the NBA, by recapping the year and this week's All Star Weekend that's occurring in Houston. As well as probably live updating the all star game. Also, the group recaps the Heel's matchup with UVA, as well as a quick look at the start of the UNC men's baseball team. Lastly, the panel takes solace in the fact that they, instinctively, are not as awful as any Plumlee brother. All that and more, on the SportsRap.
At 10pm, Plunderphonics continues. This week Andrew N and Jayce W are taking us to a land called "Plunderphonix: Space Dementia." If you have a cheesy Star Wars name, please call in and suggest it. The theme is outer (inner?) space/sci-fi. Expect some soundtrack music, TV & movie clips, space-age madness, and a healthy dash of Sun-Ra. It's gonna be out of this world! Maybe even some astrology? Maybe.
Finally, on Monday at 9pm for the Outside Track, tune in for Jozef Van Wissem's new work Apokatastasis out on Incunabulum.
JVW is a Dutch-born but Brooklyn-residing lutist Van Wissem returns with a wonderful set of improvised lute pieces. Get stoked for some pure and unadulterated lute bliss.
