BLIND MUSICIANS on the Thursday Night Feature, 9 p.m. to midnight
Some say that with the loss of one sense, the others are heightened. Others say that there is no explanation for the proliferation of musicans without sight through the ages. From Ukranian bandurists to American bluesmen, blind musicians are an integral part of cultural vernaculars around the world. Tune in for three hours of tunes from blind musicians, brought to you by two of WXYC's most visually-impaired DJs.

DOUG KERSHAW on Hell or High Water, Sunday 1 p.m. to 2 p.m.
This week's installment of "Hell or High Water" features the music of the Louisiana Man, Doug Kershaw. Kershaw, known as much for his high-octane stage presense as much as forhis unique approach to Cajun fiddling, recorded
with his brother Rusty on severalindependent labels in the 1950s and 1960s
and were regular performers on the LouisianaHayride and the Grand Ole Opry.
Beginning in the late 1960s, Kershaw began incorporatingmore elements of
rock in his music, much to the acclaim of his burgeoning youth audience.
Throughout the 1970s, Kershaw recorded for Warner Brothers and became an icon in theAustin, Texas, progressive country music scene, which honored him by painting his portrait on the side of the Armadillo World Headquarters.
