By the mid-1980s there were also some other scattered all-female hardcore bands in the US... I'm thinking Fire Party in DC and Anti-Scrunti Faction from Colorado off the top of my head. These bands probably fit in more with a backlash against hardcore than with that movement itself though.

anyone remember an all-female hardcore band, i think from reno, called the wrecks?  used to have their stuff on cassette, don't think any of it made it to vinyl.  they're the only all-female early-80s hardcore band i can think of right off...

one of the women in the band published a hardcore fanzine, thought the name of it escapes me now.
