Thanks, you just blew my bubble :-P

Here are the advantages of my script over a /var/spool/sorcery NFS:
- - Doesn't require the file to be on the NFS server, the server will fetch
it
if it is not found. This is of course irrelevant if the server can be written
to...
- - Keeps a local copy, so it can be useful on laptops

Disadvantages:
- - Probably a lot.

The changes to the client is small enough to keep (ie.: a one-line change on
two files), while the server can be made a spell.

I agree this is of limited interest, though...
