Although this is not a feedback... Eric [Sandall] is using NFS, why this is better? There's a --url option somewhere in summon for casual downloads from URLs different from SOURCE_URL or mirrors. Thank you!
Sergey.

This small script is intended to be used in local area networks. The server part is a minimal bash web server which returns cached source files, and downloads them if not found.
Setup:
Copy the smgl-standard files to their respective places.
Set the LOCAL_PROXY variable in your client sorcery config file.
Copy the smgl-proxy file to the xinetd.d directory
Copy the smgl-proxy.sh file to a suitable place (/usr/bin/)
This is proof-of-concept quality at best, please give me some feedback.
