Excellent call, now I'll grab the sources and see if jre 1.3 will be enough to compile java 1.4


I'm sure you have already considered this, but just to make sure we
get it right, the fact that the old jre uses the gcc-2.95.3 libstdc++
must be kept hidden from the freshly compiled java, so that it will
work smoothly with gcc-3.2.

I hope this makes some sort of sense and wish you the best of luck on
your quest for good, stable and locally compiled java.
