I have a couple questions, one about the md5 checksums.

1. One of the spells I have in my section pulls from CVS. The actuall download happens in the PRE_BUILD file. Now because CVS is constantly changing, I initially didn't see a way to MD5 sum this one. It was suggested to me a couple days ago to set a specific date revision, so I'll give that a try. But this brings me to my question. In sorcery, the devel version has the ability to download from CVS urls. Does sorcery pull a specific date revision, which can be checksumed, or does it pull the current version, which because of it's dynamic nature can not be checksumed? If it pulls the current version, how are we supposed to checksum it?

This is a good question, I think that you should be able to leave the field
blank but I would contact the Sorcery team (Nick or duffelbunk) about this
and please post their answer to me and the list. I can then add it to the
handbook. I am assuming that maybe we might not (call me crazy but...) be
including such spells in 1.0 for obvious reasons. ;)

Nathan Doss provided an answer for this one. He said that the code can pull the current version, or a tagged version. I think do not think we should allow the use of the current version, only tagged versions. The tagged versions would remain constant, and therefore can be md5sumed. We may want to allow for date revisions, either one would remain constant.

2. Can we set very specific rules in the Guru hand book for rejection. Right now, I'm kind of wondering if the dowrloaderx app really should be in there, or if it should be elsewhere. And a specific set of rules:
1. License
2. Binary

Sure, you are the guru, let me see what your ideas are, we descuss/decide and
into the handbook they go! ;)

Okay, I'll bring it up sometime in chat. Mainly it's just binary and licenses. Basically, I'm trying to just standardize the process for rejection. Right now, it seems kind of vague, in the handbook.

And I think I just answered a third question I had by reading the hand book, it involved the license field for spells rejected due to licensing differences. It appears I would just make the url to the actual license webpage. Please confirm that.

Yep!

Okay, thats what I wanted to check. Thanks.

Thanks,
Geoff
