Either that or warn the user that /etc/sysconfig/dhcpcd is no longer useful,
and perhaps recommend switching to another dhcp client daemon if they wish it
to be configurable.

Honestly I've never liked our present ifupdown tools. I was wondering earlier
today whether to look into coding alternative tools. If I did, I thought I'd
put them in as an alternative to the Debian package we have, but this bug's
made me think. Debian ifupdown contains no means of passing args to dhcpcd. It
isolates the sysadmin from the tool. That kind of isolation is precisely why I
don't use the big distros, I can't stand it.

Ok here's my suggestion of what to do:
* Don't modify dhcpcd, that would just be spreading the Debian taint. :)
* Rename ifupdown to ifupdown-debian.
* Add a warning to ifupdown-debian to the effect that it has limited
control over dhcp, and that dhcpcd offers no control of it's own.
* Ideally (but optionally) make a better ifupdown.

/etc/sysconfig/dhcpcd is an orphaned file, no package provides it any more and
I don't think it would be present in a fresh smgl install. Should we just
leave
it, remove it, or should the dhcpcd spell patch it with a warning? I favour
the
last, as that way the user still has it for reference on options he may have
set.
