I like the idea of DHCP-CLIENT provider. Can you attach a message to
optional_depends? I'm thinking something like this:
ifupdown optionally requires some DHCP-CLIENT (dhcpcd not recommended)

I'm thinking that putting dhcpcd in a different PATH dir to it's wrapper might
cause more problems than renaming it. Besides the matter of nfs at boot, it
relies on root having a set order for PATH. That's asking for trouble, root
PATH problems can me hard to fix.

Maybe we should make an optional wrapper for dhdcpcd?
Install a wrapper for dhcpcd to read /etc/sysconfig/dhcpcd (binary will be
renamed to dhcpcd.bin)?

That gives the message that dhcpcd doesn't read it by default (supplanting the
warning I wanted to add), adds the option for those who want things that way
(which is useful), and keeps trossachs like me happy. :) The message suggested
above for ifupdown also becomes unnecessary, I guess.
