Actually the hold-up was that the keyword index wasnt ever generated
during grimoire tarball production. It takes prohibitively long to
generate on the user's box, for every grimoire update. Part of
the implementation plan was to have it generated and placed in the
tarballs automatically. There were a lot of other plans I had for
pre-indexing things at grimoire tarball creation time, but none of them
were ever addressed. Even the most simple one, generating the keyword
index, I wrote a scribe function to do it. All someone had to do was take
it and put it in whatever scripts are used to make the grimoire tarballs.

Without the index, the sorcery team could write sorcery features to use
keywords til our fingers went numb, but nobody would ever use them because
theres no index, and generating the index on the users box is
inconveniently slow. We knew this would be the case going in, and I
pushed on it until I got tired of pushing on it.

Its not exactly difficult to make the index as part of grimoire tarball
production, just nobody did it. Please, dont pass the blame onto sorcery
for something the sorcery team requested of the grimoire team that never
happened. You could have easily checked with me what the status was on the
sorcery side first. I am always available through email. Please do some
fact checking before making a claim like this. This is something thats
especially important for a high profile position like the grimoire lead.
