Moinmoin seems to be one of the favorites in this space, so it's a good choice. One thing the latest versions have is visual editing, for people who don't want to use Wiki mark-up. Another nice thing is page hierarchy support, so that names like ThisTopic/ThisPage are converted to Wiki links automatically. Finally, Moinmoin is one of the few to keep pages in the file system, which is very good or very bad depending on who you ask, but as long as the pages are backed up, should make no different to us. I also believe that Moinmoin has one tiny usability issue: if a page edit was started and then abandoned, it would lock it for predefined time period (30 min), which may be very inconvenient. The cure is to not forget to hit Cancel button if you don't want to continue with editing.

How do the rest of you who have an opinion feel about this? A question yet
to answer would be who would have either read or write access to the wiki.

Another question would be what wiki software to use. The temp site was
setup using moinmoin, which seems pretty popular. Are there other strong
recommendations?
