Arwed,
I followed the recipe at the bottom of this page to make mono spell use gcc 3.4
but it still says "GCC 4.0.0" in the compile log. I checked, and GCC 3.4
appears to be working:
$ /opt/gcc34/bin/gcc -v
Reading specs from /opt/gcc34/lib/gcc/x86_64-unknown-linux-gnu/3.4.3/specs
Configured with: /usr/src/gcc-3.4.3/configure --host=x86_64-unknown-linux-gnu
--prefix=/opt/gcc34 --infodir=/opt/gcc34/share/info
--mandir=/opt/gcc34/share/man --enable-threads=posix --enable-languages=c,c++
--disable-multilib
Thread model: posix
gcc version 3.4.3
I'd appreciate a hint. Thanks!
Sergey.

Hi everyone,
as promised during the last developer meeting I created a page about the
gcc 4.0 testing on the wiki[1]. If you checked/fixed your whole section
or just some spells, please add them to the page so we have a good
overview what has been tested and what still needs to be tested/fixed.
I want to encourage all section maintainers to try compiling every spell
in their section with gcc 4.0, that's also a good exercise to find other
bugs (I certainly did find lots of them ;).
