I agree but did the old format have #define HasFontconfig No ?
My recent hacks in xfree86 added zlib freetype2 Fontconfig and someting else.
So unless it already said "no" they should have gone in. (i only check for
FontConfig in host.def not for it's value, which might be the problem here)
It might be a little late to say this but from now on maybe when adding /
changing options we should make sure it either forces a reconfigure (bad),
has a warning for users (not as bad) or just adds the stuff if needed
(GOOD :) ) ?
Arwed I am not meaning to have a go at you, I know i have been guilty of
this
and am sure others have too. Can we all agree not to remove or add options
without keeping in mind the long term stable integration ?
