You should not have Xft1 (nor Xrender) installed for a while now, they are now
part of xfree86. Try recasting fontconfig and freetype (with '-r'), then
recast xfree86 and see if that helps. You may also want to do 'cast --fix'
before casting xfree86 to make sure everything is sane.

I've compiled the new xfree86-devel and xdirectfb fine here, haven't tried
xfree86 yet.
