howdy !
i've worked a bit on this bug. i must tell there is a bad news:
net-tools have evolved since 0.5.1, and devices are not configured
the same way anymore, that implies the method used to configure
network devices doesn't work anymore too :(
for a 1st look at it, we'll have dig quite deeply into it.
So, that will take time. If anyone from cauldron team would like
to help, you're welcome. problem is localised in
/usr/sbin/sgl.install, function networking().

That leads me to the task dispatching for cauldron team members:

belxjander proposed himself to work on a multi-platform installer.
we'd like to add hardware detection (something light, that doesn't
need us to add things on the iso - ie pure C, forget python, perl
is ok as it is already included - btw, could someone check if it
is _really_ needed ? if not, forget perl, we'll rip it out. )

i must shorten this mail as it's time to sleep.
about tasks split, i'd like cauldron members to change the subject
of this mail.
about network config bug, follow this thread. i'd especially like
to hear from the ones who hacks net-tools (erics, sandalle, rycee,
others ?) in order to get informations about the way it works so
that we can modify installer more easily.

Comments, ideas are welcome.
See ya,
low
PS: i'm off until sunday at best, monday at worst.
PS2: it's great to work w/ you all, keep up the good work !
