Okay, so as promised, I have a few other SM issues that I've encountered
these
last few days (or, in some cases, before then). These two happen to be about
summon.
First, does summon --url work correctly? For some reason, I couldn't seem to
get it to work. Specifically, the xiph.org was down yesterday so I was
trying to get the vorbis tools from vorbis.com. The summon --help and man
summon documentations weren't completely clear on this, but I tried all of
the following:
summon --url http://fatpipe.vorbis.com/files/1.0/unix/vorbis-tools-1.0.tar.gz
vorbis-tools
summon vorbis-tools --url
http://fatpipe.vorbis.com/files/1.0/unix/vorbis-tools-1.0.tar.gz
summon --url http://fatpipe.vorbis.com/files/1.0/unix/ vorbis-tools
summon vorbis-tools --url http://fatpipe.vorbis.com/files/1.0/unix/
summon --url http://fatpipe.vorbis.com/files/1.0/unix/vorbis-tools-1.0.tar.gz
None of them worked - I ended up downloading the files manually and putting
them in the spool.
Next, and this one has been bothering me for a while, why is it that summon
sometimes presents such a nice display with an "animated" bar displaying your
progress, but other times it scrolls a newline in between each update in a
pretty ugly way? And when casting multiple spells at a time, if a download
fails for one of them, it seems to scroll through the whole failed download
message in between each other cast.
That's all for now.
