Hamish,
I have to say I'd hate to see you go, since you've made a lot of good work in
SMGL since you joined us. However, if it isn't fun for you anymore, then I
won't press you to stay.

This was (I feel) your greatest failure. You managed to "scare" people away
from debate with some of your postings - at least I have kept quiet a couple
of times rather than getting into a argument with you. I'd rather see the good
work you've been doing than argue why I (and others) couldn't give the same
commitment to SMGL. I understand you felt very frustrated most of us couldn't
give on the same level you did, but I also almost took offense with a few of
your comments. I am not saying I am perfect (my work on SMGL has been
extremely low, and I managed to confuse myself with some decisions that had
been made on grimoire utilization), but I give what I can, as many of us do -
unfortunately, I can't give to the project as much as you can, either by lack
of time as for lack of skills.
As I said above, I am very sorry you decided to leave. Your work is very good;
you only (IMHO) need to be able to relax a bit and understand that others
might not have the same availability to give to this project. And that the way
we keep this fun for us is to only give what we can, and not blame each other
when we can't do as much as we'd like to.
