Not trying to discount the fact that manuka honey is awesome. I've heard
similar stories of burn healing from normal honey, though, it has an
incredible ability to moisturise. I've also heard of wildflower honey
healing all kinds of infected nasty sores and etc. Honey's pretty amazing
in general.
One day I just might make it to New Zealand to try it out. :) I'm sure
there are other benefits of NZ honey, like beekeepers not feeling as much
pressure to use chemicals (because of a really good quarantine system). But
until then I'll stick to some local wildflower honey for my first aid kit.
