Just thinking. Of course, wouldn't want to see a use of the tires that
created awful fumes of any kind, but roads and highways have already
devastated an area, I figure, so might be a fitting place for them to land?

Already, tire particles left on roads that get carried away in storm runoff into the environment, roadsides, adjoining agricultural fields.
All the toxic elements in these particles of rubber decomposing and leaching into rainwater and then straight into ditches, fields, streams, rivers, the ocean. Another negative aspect of storm runoff from out highway system; all the toxic metals and chemical compounds mentioned by Scott and by the excellent article quoted in a previous post. I never knew until now that decomposing tires represented such a risk to the environment.
