Thanks, Paul!  The house you tour beginning at 1:40 is just beautiful.

if anyone you know has any influence in costa rica, please do advise
them to push to call the U.S.'s bluff. say "fine - we'll make use of
the Sugar fields for other crops. we'll let them go fallow. we'll
sell the sugar to anyone but you. you're a nation of people who are
too fat and eat too much sugar anyway."

_anything_ but sign the IP laws which will allow enforcement of
"Intellectual Enslavement". the dean at Earth University loved that
one. i made the connection between "Intellectual Property" being
"Ownership of Intelligence" i.e. "Enslavement of Intelligence" and
from there it's a simple conclusion that "IP Laws" are simply a more
complex way to continue the Slavery that marred the Victorian Era,
just in a different guise.

any country that does _not_ have "IP Laws" and recognises its
Sovereign Right to tell other countries to "Get Stuffed" is damn
lucky.

fortunately it seems that the Costa Rican people kinda recognise this
anyway so i have hope, but i just wanted to point out to people the
irony of the U.S. government doing _exactly_ what it promises _not_ to
do under CAFTA, in order to force Costa Rica to sign CAFTA: economic
blackmail.
