Saludos de México-

Nice, this is quite a complete permaculture library
actually there are quite a few new findings in that list for me - some of the suggested literature will definitely enhance my library soon, thank you

read our reading list we suggest in our permaculture courses (with Spanish comments) at
http://www.tierramor.org/permacultura/bibliografia.html

I wonder, why Holmgrens "Principles and Pathways" isn´t on the list, also the list sent in by Toby Hemenway omits this important part of PC literature. For me, it is an important actualization of the Permaculture concept, going more deeply into Permacultures scientific and "theoretical" underpinnings in systems ecology and systems thinking- yes, its not another one of the "How to make your sheetmulch garden" books, but nevertheless its in my opinion required reading for every serious permaculturist.

also "Mycelium Running" is missing, as well as the encyclopedic two volume "Edible Forest Gardens"Jacke/Tonsmeier magnum opus
what about Toensmeiers "Perennial vegetables" ?

the transition books from Rob Hopkins&Co cover important topics in the social field in permaculture

anyway, to all english speakers: you are well suited with first class information in your language-

our available libary in spanish is really limited.
The first edition of "Introducción a la Permacultura" from 94 suffered from a poor translation and was, in some contexts, more of an anti-propaganda, at least according to feedback we received here in Mexico- it seems that Tarigari is offering a revised edition on its webpage, but , quite interesting, they don´t send it to Mexico...

we had Alejandra Caballeros book (last reprint from 1997) as our only domestic reference, hopefully Eugenio Gras´s upcoming book will at least partly close the gap and meet the increasing need of having spanish info available.

Definitely the Indonesian Permaculture manuals are a valuable addition to the library of PC activists, especially those who want to work in the non affluent world - the manuals are downloadable for free at http://www.idepfoundation.org/permaculture.html

This are the best hands on manuals available, and an excellent complementation to Bills eclectic "Designers Manual" - Don¿t get me wrong, I appreciate the book a lot, its excellent, but its practical usefulness in our projects here in mexico was always relatively limited

saludos

Holger Hieronimi
