I recently had the same dilemma when deciding whether or not to vaccinate my
son as we do a lot of traveling in Asia.

I believe the tetanus injection does still contain thimersol. However having
spoken to many people, and doing some of my own research, Tetanus was one
injection i decided to give as catching tetanus is a pretty full on
situation. So unless you have a known allergy, its worth having it.

Some other options are;

- You can have a blood test which checks to see which anti bodies you already
have, you may find you don't need the injection anyway.
- A pharmacist will be able to tell all the info you need about injections,
the various brands and what they are based with.

Good luck.
