I'm slightly less optimistic (not that you came across that way)
about the oceans. AFAIK they're in some serious strife - the various
nursery environments are going to be wiped out by temperature and
level rises. That is, a few degrees rise will destroy most reefs, and
mangrove swamps are going to have trouble migrating up shore fast
enough (assuming there's anywhere for them to move to). In any case,
the knock on effects of taking out these nursery environments, along
with the other myriad of known and yet-to-surprise-us effects from
temperature changes, may see the entire food chain break down .. at
least across large tracts.
