Ma Khin Khin Leh, a mother and teacher, was sentenced to life
imprisonment for peacefully protesting government policies in the town
of Bago, Myanmar (Burma) on July 19, 1999. Without your help she will
spend the rest of her life in a prison cell. Click here to demand her
release <http://takeaction.amnestyusa.org/ctt.asp?u=282822&l=15200>.

Security agents arrested Ma Khin Khin Leh and her three-year-old
daughter, the world's youngest prisoner of conscience, days before she
and her husband were to participate in a peaceful demonstration.
Although her daughter has been released, Ma Khin Khin Leh continues to
serve a life sentence for peacefully speaking out against government
policies. Even more disturbing, she is believed to be held in Myanmar’s
notorious Insein Prison, where she reportedly suffers from an
unspecified lung problem, rheumatoid arthritis and dysentery. Amnesty is
concerned for her safety and medical care.

Here's what Amnesty is doing to free her, and why your help is so
urgently needed:

* Mobilizing thousands of our on-the-ground activists in the U.S. to
fight for her freedom.
* Supporting dozens of Amnesty community chapters around the world
working for her release.
* Launching a worldwide petition campaign calling upon Myanmar's
authorities to free all prisoners of conscience including Ma Khin
Khin Leh.

Because of the actions of people like you, Amnesty International has
been able to free thousands of prisoners over the years. Your action
makes a difference. You can help free Ma Khin Khin Leh and reunite a
family. Please take action now.

Every single action makes a difference. Please forward this message to
your network of friends and colleagues. We must make our voice heard
around the world and free Ma Khin Khin Leh.
