Dear Ecological Design and Building educational colleagues:

It is with great pleasure that I announce to you the release of the 2005
version of Ecological Design and Building Schools: Green Guide to
Educational Opportunities in the United States and Canada. As many of you
know, this book, which substantially updates and expands upon my initial
self-publication Eco-Building Schools from the mid-1990s, has been a labor
of love for me quite some time. Thanks to New Village Press, the publishing
arm of Architects/Designers/Planners for Social Responsibility (ADPSR), this
book is now in print and finding its way into bookstores throughout North
America.

Those of you whom I am contacting today are listed in the 2005 book free of
charge through at least one entry in the Schools Directory or in the
Appendices on Curriculum Resources, Related Organizations, or Individual
Instructors. I am wiring to urge you to purchase your copy today through
New Village Press http://www.newvillagepress.net/ or in one of your local
bookstores. Book sales help ensure that we will be able to reach as wide an
audience as possible, and continue to keep track of and share new
developments in ecological design and building education in future editions.

We also hope that you will share this resource with others, through book
reviews, announcements in newsletters, and word of mouth. Please see the
attached Press Release which gives a succinct summary of the book, including
advance praise from a couple of sustainable design leaders. Please note
that we also have postcards advertising the book which we would be more than
happy to send you to help spread the word -- please contact
press@newvillage.net with your desired quantity of free postcards.

Also, for those of you who may be interested in selling Ecological Design
and Building Schools yourself, please note that this can also be done
through New Village Press -- please see the attached document summarizing
the pricing rates and terms offered by New Village Press, and contact
press@newvillage.net with any questions you may have.

Finally, on behalf of everyone who had a hand in this publication, we thank
you for your great work, and welcome your feedback for how we may represent
your efforts still better in the future.

Sincerely,

--
