Black locust provides us with a lot of shoots every summer which pop up on
their own, either off-set from the mature tree, and more than occasionally
from root shoots many metres away from the tree. I've not needed to force
cuttings; she is generous in supplying rooted shoots. Late in the summer, I
dig or pull up the shoots, voila, into the pot. Sunshine
