Checked the origin of my info and it's Toby too (post of 4/20/04):
he quotes the book "The Leguminosae" (O.N. Allen).

Googling found a few sites that agree, but online opinions differ...
one example:

A lot of times, there aren't simple yes-or-no answers to plant related
questions: the more I know, the more I know no one knows the Truth
about say, plum pollination...
