well, will they matter to those in other places? F'rinstance, when you notice that Ribes sanguineum is in full bloom, you'll see a hummingbird within a day (or vice-versa)
And, to be dark & scary------- I read in New Settler Interview a couple a years ago, that Inuit in Nunavut say their traditional knowlege no longer applies; the polar regions are much more strongly affected by global warming. The animals, birds and fish can't be found by the old phenological guides.
