Vi have been eating regularly Quinoa for some years.
Commercially distributed by Markla in France, organically grown in Bolivia
I never though of any bitterness to it.
It is a very good alternative to rice, wheat or other cereals, it is tasty
and we like
it very much.
So I recommand any body to try it!
I have heard of some body trying to grow it here i Norway, so appalchian
climate is
probably OK.
I tryed myself, but to late in the short season.
Some agricultural organisation har recommanded Amaranth as an alternative
crop.
